Eriogonum Thymoides
(Thyme-leaf Buckwheat)

This is a drought tolerant species and can be used in desert rock gardens or as a low shrub in landscaping. It has a woody shrub like form very low to the ground. It commonly forms layers of very tiny and thick canopies of swollen leaves not unlike the Bonsai Trees. It is quite beautiful and has bright lemon yellow flowers that change to a deep red and reddish brown with age.
