Wildlanders Bird Watching

Winter time is here. I can feel it all the way down to my toes!

Or so our feathered friends must be saying.

Note: Registration requires only an email address - which is neither shared or sold. The online birding diary and forums are free.

Wildlanders.com is proud to present the first FREE online database and birding diary service for keeping your trip and birding lists and notes. Each sighting is recorded by genus, species, common name, trip name, location, habitat, vertical canopy, and areas for notes and comments. The record can be marked 'public' or 'private' (ie, endangered species).

Register as one of the Wildlanders and then login to start maintaining your bird lists and sightings online. The contact information you provide us is kept confidential and is not shared. Access to the database is free, it is easy, and it is a wonderful way for you to contribute to the science of ornithology!

Welcome to Wildlanders.com!

Soon to Come: Trip leaders from environmental organizations or teachers at Universities can create Master Lists with more than one participant all sharing their data. Each member maintains a private list but selects the same "Trip Name" as the leader. The sightings and data can then be viewed by each individual as a personal listing and is also included in the Master List. The power here of course is that trips and lists can be shared with other enthusiasts at your discretion through temporary access passwords and the ultimate knowledge base made available to professionals performing research.

Sorting and searching features will be provided to help you navigate and organize the data in the database.
